Rubio and Icelandic leaders set to answer questions

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Icelandic leaders are due to take questions at a press conference in Reykjavík today, mbl.is reported.
Iceland’s Foreign Ministry is holding the briefing at Safnahúsið following Rubio’s meeting with Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir and Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir. It is scheduled to begin at 10:25.
Rubio is visiting Iceland after accepting an invitation from Þorgerður. Before travelling, he called Iceland “a good friend of the United States” and said the visit followed conversations with Icelandic leaders at a NATO summit earlier this year.
Two weeks ago, the US government signed a new security agreement with Denmark and Greenland during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
