At least 10 armed officers stand outside Höfði before Rubio meeting

At least 10 armed police officers were outside Höfði, a meeting venue, on Tuesday morning as US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was expected to meet Icelandic Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, mbl.is reported.

Rubio was expected to arrive at about 8:30 a.m. He was also due to meet Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir and Gunnarsdóttir at the Safnahúsið building on Hverfisgata, followed by a press conference with Icelandic and international media.
