Faroese cargo ship Hav Frakt cannot return to service until damage from its collision near Ålesund is repaired, KVF reports, citing The Maritime Executive. Norwegian authorities have imposed the same requirement on cargo ship Bergsfjord, which began leaking. Tanker Xanthia was allowed to continue to Finland.

The three ships, one tanker and two cargo vessels, collided in Valderhaugfjord near Ålesund in Norway on Sunday night. No one was injured, and none of the vessels needed to be evacuated. A total of 30 people were aboard.

The cause of the collision is not known, and police are still investigating. No one has been charged, NRK reports, but police say three people are under suspicion. Two of the ships were travelling north and one south. Breathalyser tests found that no one was under the influence of alcohol.
