Night frost expected across much of the country

Winds are expected to ease overnight, bringing frost to many parts of the country, mbl.is reports.

On Monday, northerly winds of 3 to 8 metres per second and clear skies are forecast in the west. In the northeast, winds of 8 to 13 metres per second will bring rain near sea level and sleet or snow in the mountains. Rain is also expected in the southeast during the first part of the day. Temperatures will range from 1 to 8 degrees.

On Tuesday, light, variable winds are forecast. Most areas will be dry and clear, with isolated showers along the south coast. Daytime temperatures will range from 3 to 8 degrees.
