Police stop four drivers on Reykjavik pedestrian street
Four drivers were stopped for driving on a pedestrian street in Reykjavik on Sunday, according to a report from mbl.is. Their cases were dealt with at the scene.
Police also stopped four drivers for running red lights and one for using a mobile phone without hands-free equipment.
In Hafnarfjordur, Gardabaer and Alftanes, five drivers were stopped and all were found to be under the influence of narcotic substances. Two others were caught speeding at 93 and 91 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
Police also received reports of break-ins, thefts and suspicious activity. No one was at the scene when officers arrived in response to the report.
