Two foreign tourists killed in East Iceland crash

Two foreign tourists in their 60s were killed in a traffic accident on Háreksstaðaleið, a road in eastern Iceland, on Saturday, mbl.is reported, citing a statement from East Iceland police.
Two other foreign tourists were seriously injured and flown to a hospital in Reykjavík. The remaining people involved were taken to the East Iceland Healthcare Institution in Egilsstaðir for treatment and discharged the same day with minor injuries.
East Iceland police and the Transportation Accident Investigation Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
