Two bouncers were arrested in the city centre overnight after allegedly punching and kicking a man, mbl.is reported, citing a police log. They were released after questioning.

Police also received several reports of a heavily intoxicated person disrupting traffic by trying to walk in front of cars and threatening a pedestrian. The man was held in a police cell on suspicion of violating police regulations.

In a separate incident, police were alerted to possible drink-driving after a car was driven over a kerb and onto grass. By the time officers arrived, the car had hit a lamppost. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
