Earthquake shakes Iceland’s capital region

A magnitude 3.4 earthquake was felt widely across the capital region shortly after midnight, mbl.is reported.

The Icelandic Meteorological Office said the quake struck at about 12:40 a.m., around 7.3 kilometres south of Helgafell.
