Three teenagers charged with attempted murder after Kastrup shooting
Three teenage boys have been charged with attempted murder after 15 shots were fired at a family’s apartment in Kastrup in March, DR reports, citing Ritzau’s account of the indictment.
Prosecutors allege the boys, who were 17, 17 and 18 at the time, were paid to carry out the attempted murder. Police have described similar cases as “violence as a service”, in which young people are hired to commit crimes. The teenagers in this case are Danish.
According to police, the youngest had an AK-47 machine gun, which he handed to the oldest in an IKEA bag on the evening of March 30. The oldest later met the third boy. They waited in a garbage shelter for instructions from an unidentified accomplice before climbing over a fence and firing the shots shortly before 2am.
A family, including children, was inside the apartment when the shots were fired on March 31. No one was injured. The two oldest boys deny the charges; it is not known how the third has responded.
