Reykjavík’s health inspectorate is investigating reports of illness among staff at Reykjavík City’s offices, mbl.is reports.
City spokesperson Hulda Gunnarsdóttir confirmed the investigation to mbl.is. She said the cause and extent of the illness were not yet known.
Vísir reported that, according to its sources, one employee received confirmation of a norovirus infection on Friday. Sources also said several employees in different city departments had felt ill after lunch the previous week. Roast leg of lamb was served that day.
“I just don’t know what kind of illness it is or how many people are affected,” Gunnarsdóttir said.
