MP says religion cannot justify keeping Tel Aviv embassy

A debate has emerged over plans to close the Faroese embassy in Tel Aviv. Framsókn MP Bjarni Kárason Petersen says religion cannot be the basis for keeping it, KVF reports.

The Centre Party has been among the leading supporters of the embassy in Israel. Its chairman, Steffan Klein Poulsen, has said it is no secret that religion plays a role.
