Finland’s Parliament will vote this afternoon on whether it has confidence in Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen and the government as a whole, Yle reported.
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) called for a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Petteri Orpo’s government on Tuesday, saying its approach to Finland’s Middle East policy was contradictory.
The Greens also proposed a no-confidence vote against Häkkänen, with the Left Alliance supporting the motion. The parties have criticised, among other things, Häkkänen’s visit to Israel, where he met the country’s defence minister.
