Sýn says 72% of Sýn Sport customers are satisfied

Sýn said 72% of its Sýn Sport customers were satisfied with the service in the third quarter of 2026, compared with 65% satisfaction with Síminn’s television service, according to a Maskína survey. The company issued the figures in a response to a statement from Síminn, reported earlier on Thursday, mbl.is said.

Sýn argued that the survey cited by Síminn, which asked people to name the best domestic streaming service, measured general opinion rather than subscriber satisfaction. Services that are more widely known are more likely to be named, it said, and people who do not use a service may base their views on factors other than personal experience.

Guðmundur Halldór Björnsson, Sýn’s managing director of sales and marketing, said Síminn’s dominant market position should be considered when interpreting the results. He said Sýn was pleased that satisfaction among Sýn Sport customers had reached 72% and risen from the previous year.
