Krónan pistachios recalled after illegal pesticide found

mbl.is reports that Iceland’s Food and Veterinary Authority has warned consumers not to eat one batch of Krónan roasted and salted pistachios after the pesticide clothianidin was detected during market surveillance.

Importer Salvía ehf. has recalled the product in cooperation with the health authorities. Customers can return it to any Krónan store for a full refund.

The recall applies only to the 200-gram product with barcode 5694310451291 and a best-before date of 3 January 2027. The manufacturer is Ziba Naghsh.
