Siglufjörður records Iceland’s highest temperature at 17.8 degrees

Siglufjörður recorded the highest temperature in Iceland so far on Thursday, with 17.8 degrees, mbl.is reported. Temperatures were warm in many parts of the country on the first day of October.

The temperature reached 17.4 degrees near Stafá on the Siglufjarðarvegur road. Akureyri recorded 16.2 degrees at 11 a.m., and temperatures reached 15 degrees in many parts of North Iceland.
