Psychologist calls 260-home plan for temporary foreign workers a bad idea

Hafnarfjörður’s plan to build 260 homes near Vallahverfi for foreign nationals working temporarily in Iceland is “not a good idea” and could cause various problems, environmental psychologist Páll Jakob Líndal says, according to mbl.is.

Líndal was asked to comment on the plans. He said they appeared to involve creating a separate community for this group.

“It is about creating some kind of community that is separate from the community of everyone else in the area,” he said.
