Mediator renews talks between shipowners and crew unions

The mediation effort between the crew unions and the Shipowners’ Association will resume on October 8, KVF reports. The mediator, Terje Sigurðsson, will try to help the parties reach a new agreement.

The Mediation Institution has told the parties that talks will begin on October 8 and continue on October 9 if necessary. They will be held at KG in Klaksvik.

The unions and the Shipowners’ Association rejected a mediation proposal in late April. Their agreements expired some time ago.
