Most people in Finland support using health data for research and to develop healthcare and new treatments, Yle reports.
The finding comes from a survey commissioned by Findata, the social and healthcare data permit authority, and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. About 80 percent of respondents said they viewed the secondary use of health data positively, including for research and the use of biobank and genomic data.
Aula Research conducted the survey, which received responses from more than 2,000 people living in Finland.
