Unemployment rates in Iceland stable at 3.1% in July

Unemployment rates in Iceland remained unchanged in July, according to recent data from the Directorate of Labor. The unemployment rate was measured at 3.1%, consistent with figures from June. Approximately 3,800 men and 3,000 women were unemployed during this period.
The highest unemployment rate was recorded in the Suðurnes region at 5.1%, although this represented a slight decrease from the previous month. In contrast, the lowest unemployment rates were observed in the Northwest of Iceland at 0.8% and in East Iceland at 1.2%.
The Directorate of Labor predicts that the unemployment rate will either remain stable or increase slightly in August.
