A trial has opened at Reykjanes District Court in the case of Giorgios Ntentes, a 30-year-old Greek man accused of killing a Portuguese man in Kársnes, Kópavogur, mbl.is reported.

According to the indictment, Ntentes attacked the victim at his home on Skjólbraut on November 28, 2025, stabbing him three times in the abdomen. He is also accused of cutting and stabbing the man in the neck with a sharp object and striking or pressing on the front of his neck.

The victim died from severe blood loss and was found dead at home two days later, on November 30. Ntentes denies the charges.

The victim’s children and other relatives are seeking compensation totalling nearly 25 million Icelandic krónur. The trial had previously been postponed while the court awaited assessments of the victim’s injuries by two Swedish forensic pathologists.
