Pedagogical inspections are being carried out at 14 institutions run by Almannaverkið this year, KVF reports. Six took place in the spring, with eight scheduled for the autumn.
The spring inspections covered supported-living homes on Hóvabrekka, Kelduskáki, Torfinsgøta and Garðsgøta. Inspectors also visited the leisure and club service at Frúutrøð and the leisure service at Gerðagøta.
Reports on the inspections have been delivered to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Housing and sent to the relevant parties. Summaries and Almannaverkið’s comments are available on the ministry’s website, abmr.fo.
The inspections aim to ensure that services operate according to their purpose and plans, that people using them thrive and develop, that facilities are suitable, and that staff meet professional standards. Menning.info, run by Jóhannes Miðskarð, carries out the inspections.
