Stefan Löfven reportedly receives death threats in Varberg

Former Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven was reportedly threatened with death in Varberg, SVT reported, citing information from Aftonbladet.

A car carrying several unidentified people allegedly stopped near Löfven, and its occupants made death threats, according to Aftonbladet. The incident prompted a police operation, with patrols searching for the car.

Police spokesperson Emelie Lundqvist said officers had filed a report of unlawful threats and tried to locate the vehicle.

Löfven said through the Social Democratic Party’s press service that he did not want to comment.
