Faroe Islands to repeal five obsolete laws

Five laws that were left in force when the law establishing Statistics Faroe Islands was passed 15 years ago are now set to be repealed, KVF reports. The statistics agency says they are no longer needed.
Government minister Aksel V. Johannesen has asked the Faroese parliament, the Løgting, to repeal them. The laws comprise two Danish laws and three Faroese laws.
One concerns the price index and another the 2011 census. The oldest Danish laws date from 1920 and 1933. Some regulations based on the laws will also be repealed.
