Alexander Ernstberger returns to public debate after prison

Alexander Ernstberger, who became the public face of the Allra scandal, was sentenced to six years in prison and became associated with “grisch”, a lifestyle focused on appearing rich and successful, SVT reports.

After serving three years in prison and spending a further 11 months wearing an ankle monitor, Ernstberger was conditionally released in May 2025.

Since then, he has given interviews, written a book about his version of the Allra story and become increasingly visible in public debate.
