KVF to launch quiz competition between ships

KVF will launch “Skipsboð”, a quiz competition between ships, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The first contest will pit the new cargo ship Hav Leiti against the freezer longliner Kamb.

The competition will focus on maritime knowledge. The broadcaster said the Faroe Islands are a seafaring nation, with Faroese people active in fishing, cargo shipping, tourism, offshore work and aquaculture.

Ships and crews can register for the competition by emailing skipsboð@kvf.fo.

The programme will also include an interview with Andras Sigmarsson Jacobsen, head of the food education programme at the Technical School in Klaksvík.

“Skipsboð” will air for the first time on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.
