Two men injured when work platform collapses in Reykjavik

Two men were injured when a work platform gave way in central Reykjavik earlier on Monday, mbl.is reports. Both were taken to the emergency department with minor injuries.

According to Ásmundur Rúnar Gylfason, deputy chief of the Capital Region Police, one of the men was on the platform when it collapsed, while the other was standing on the ground and was struck by it.

Police do not yet know the exact height of the fall. The men were working on a two-storey house, so the fall is believed to have been several metres.
