Police use crane truck to remove car from wall

Police in the capital region called in a crane truck to remove a vehicle that had left the road and hit a wall, mbl.is reported.

The crash occurred earlier on Sunday in the area covered by police station four, which serves Grafarvogur, Mosfellsbær and Árbær. According to the police log, the driver lost control of the vehicle and suffered minor injuries.

Police also received a report of a traffic accident in Reykjavík’s Hlíðahverfi, where a car was driven into a parked, unoccupied vehicle.

In Garðabær, a driver was stopped for considerable speeding. The case was handled according to standard procedure.
