Finland’s Permits and Supervisory Agency will announce suspension decisions concerning Plastic Surgery Center Helsinki Oy and Plastic Surgery Center Tampere Oy, Yle reports.
The agency will hold a media briefing on Friday about its oversight of aesthetic clinics that provide healthcare services. The briefing is scheduled to begin at 9:30.
Yle reported last week on the death of social media personality Olivia Oras. She died after receiving anaesthesia before liposuction and had been a patient at Plastic Surgery Center in Helsinki.
The agency has not previously commented on the case.
Yle’s investigative unit reported extensively on the clinic’s operations three years ago.
The Permits and Supervisory Agency oversees the legality of how social and healthcare services are organised and provided nationwide. Its remit also covers aesthetic clinics when they provide healthcare services.
