Tórshavn swimming hall solar project postponed for 10 to 15 years

The swimming hall in Gundadal, Tórshavn, will not receive a solar power system for now, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The technical director and the heads of the environmental and buildings departments at Tórshavn City Council recommend waiting to install the system until the roof is replaced in 10 to 15 years.

The council’s Nature and Environment Committee and Finance Committee support the recommendation. The city council is due to consider the matter on Thursday.

The 485,000 kroner already allocated to the project will be returned to the municipal budget.
