SVT to air extra studio for one of Sweden’s closest elections

SVT will broadcast an extra election studio on Wednesday as the 2026 election appears set to be one of the closest in 50 years, the broadcaster reports.

Presenter Fouad Youcefi will answer audience questions together with political experts Maggie Strömberg, Fredrik Furtenbach and Elisabeth Marmorstein. Speaker of Parliament Andreas Norlén will take part remotely.

The programme will air at 20.30 on SVT Play and SVT1. Viewers can submit questions through the Duo app and chat about the election during the broadcast.
