Company registry sends 69 firms to compulsory liquidation

Faroese Company Registration sent 69 companies to the bankruptcy court for compulsory liquidation on Tuesday, broadcaster KVF reported.

The companies include 41 entrepreneur companies, 27 private limited companies and one public limited company.

At the end of August, 230 companies had still not submitted their 2025 annual accounts to the Faroese Company Registration. Under accounting legislation, companies whose financial year follows the calendar year must submit their annual accounts by 30 June at the latest.

On 1 September, the registry announced that it would refer companies that had not submitted their 2025 annual accounts to the bankruptcy court for compulsory liquidation on 15 September.
