Kristersson faces resignation if election result holds

Unless something dramatic happens as the final votes are counted, Ulf Kristersson’s time as prime minister is coming to an end, according to an analysis by SVT’s domestic political commentator Mats Knutson.

Kristersson can resign quickly or prolong the process, Knutson writes. But if the election result remains unchanged, he will not survive a vote on his continued premiership in the Riksdag.
