Finns Party support closes in on National Coalition Party

Support for the Finns Party has risen to 15 per cent, bringing it within 1.5 percentage points of the National Coalition Party, according to a Helsingin Sanomat poll reported by Yle.

The National Coalition Party’s support remained unchanged from August at 16.5 per cent. The two parties have not been this close during the current parliamentary term.

The Social Democratic Party remains Finland’s most popular party, with support of 23.4 per cent.

The poll was conducted by research company Verian, which interviewed more than 3,000 people through an online panel. The margin of error for the largest parties is approximately 1.8 percentage points in either direction.
