Tórshavn left with one public toilet

Kringvarp Føroya reports that Tórshavn has only one public toilet available to residents and tourists outside normal opening hours, while the Tórshavn municipality reviews its public toilet provision.

The public toilet on Mylnugøta has been closed since it was damaged by fire in 2024.

The director of Visit Tórshavn, the city’s tourism organisation, says the situation is a major problem that is causing dissatisfaction among both businesses and tourists.
