Electric car fire halts commuter trains in Etelä-Haaga
An electric car caught fire after a collision on the Hämeenlinnanväylä road in Etelä-Haaga on Monday morning, forcing commuter train services to stop because of harmful smoke, Yle reports.
No one was injured in the accident, according to Toni Fohlin, a fire chief with the Helsinki Rescue Department.
Traffic heading towards Helsinki is congested. Rescue crews are extinguishing the fire, and the firefighting operation is expected to take between 30 minutes and one hour.
