Sunshine covers Finland as frost threatens overnight

Most of Finland will have sunny, dry weather on Monday, but frost may affect almost the entire country overnight, Yle reports.

Yle meteorologist Matti Huutonen said sunshine is expected across the country. Northern Lapland may see isolated showers.

Temperatures will reach about 17 degrees Celsius in the south and around 10 degrees in the north.

Temperatures will fall sharply towards the evening and overnight. Sensitive plants may need protection from frost.

Tuesday will remain generally sunny, with temperatures similar to Monday. Cloud cover will increase from the west during the evening ahead of a rain area approaching from the west. Southerly winds will also strengthen.
