Jimi Hendrix signed Rúnar Júlíusson’s passport in London

Jimi Hendrix once signed a page from Icelandic musician Rúnar Júlíusson’s passport, according to an article published by Morgunblaðið’s Sunday supplement and reported by mbl.is.

Júlíusson founded the Geimsteinn recording studio in Keflavík 50 years ago. The studio’s walls include a framed autograph that he obtained in a club bathroom in London in the late 1960s.

Hendrix also gave him the address of his management office in case the Icelandic musician wanted to visit.

The only paper Júlíusson had with him at the time was his passport. He tore out one page and asked Hendrix to write on it.

“There are not many people who can boast of having a visa from Jimi Hendrix,” the article says.
