Danól recalls River rice after insect remains found

Danól is recalling River rice after insect remains were found in one distribution batch sold only in Samkaup stores, mbl.is reports. Rice bought elsewhere is safe to eat.

The supplier said the decision was made in consultation with the Reykjavík Health Inspectorate.

The affected packages are marked BF 02.06.2028.

Consumers who have the product are asked not to eat it and to dispose of it. They may also return the affected rice by sending a photo of the package showing the relevant date, along with their purchaser details, to the email address specified in the recall notice.

Danól apologised for any inconvenience caused by the recall.
