Bananar recalls children’s apples over excessive pesticide levels

Bananar ehf. has recalled PinKids apples after pesticide levels exceeded the permitted maximum, mbl.is reports.

The recall covers 550-gram packages of Pink Lady apples with lot numbers L261409305 and L3505. The apples were intended for children and were sold at Bónus stores from September 4 to 9.

The products have now been removed from sale. Consumers who bought the apples are advised not to eat them and to return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.

The recall was carried out in consultation with the Reykjavík Health Inspectorate.
