A billion kroner investment from AkademikerPension could enable CPH Village to build 2,000 new student homes in Copenhagen by 2030, DR reports.

According to Frederik Busck, co-founder and director of CPH Village, the project is possible because the homes will be built temporarily from containers on municipal plots that cannot otherwise be developed.

Much of the planned housing has not yet been approved by the municipality, but Busck expects it to receive approval.

The first project is planned for Fiskerihavnen in Nordhavn, with residents expected to move in during spring 2028.
