online banking, OP Pohjola, recurring payments

A technical fault in OP Pohjola’s online banking service has hidden recurring payments from some customers, Yle reports. The bank says the payments themselves have been processed normally.

The fault affects recurring payments with due dates between August 22 and 24. Their upcoming instalments have not appeared in online banking, making it difficult for some customers to monitor their finances and confirm that the payments are still scheduled.

OP Pohjola said the recurring payments due between August 22 and 24 were completed normally. However, recurring payments due in September have not been visible to customers during the same period of the month.

The bank said it has identified the cause of the technical problem and is working to fix it. The upcoming payment instalments are expected to become visible in online banking once the repair is complete.

Customers do not need to take any action at this stage, OP Pohjola’s communications department told Yle.
