Reykjavík harbour Ferris wheel dismantled after third summer

The Ferris wheel at Miðbakki by Reykjavík harbour was dismantled over the weekend, mbl.is reports.

This was the wheel’s third summer in operation, and it received a mixed response from Reykjavík residents. Taylor’s Tivoli Iceland ehf. operated it during all three summers.

The wheel was initially installed as part of projects linked to a harbour-based visitor experience. It offered clear views out to sea.
