Vehicle mileage charge set for 15.9% increase

According to mbl.is, the vehicle mileage charge is set to rise by 15.9% under proposed changes linked to the revenue side of the 2027 budget bill.

The increase consists of a 5.2% adjustment in line with the budget bill’s assumptions, plus an additional four billion in revenue to support a target that vehicle and fuel revenues account for 1.7% of gross domestic product.

The proposals would also raise the vehicle tax by 5.2%, in line with the same budget assumptions.
