25 apply to lead district heating company

Twenty-five people have applied to become director of Fjarhitafelagið, a district heating company owned by Sev and Tórshavn Municipality, according to KVF.

The applicants include 23 men and two women. The new director is due to start on January 1 next year.

Hans Christian Dam, who served as director for 22 years, left the position earlier this year after reaching retirement age. The company’s board then appointed finance manager Eirik Mørkøre as interim director for the rest of this year.

Fjarhitafelagið was established in 1988.
