Police remove demonstrators blocking Copenhagen street

Police have forcibly removed demonstrators who blocked Classensgade in central Copenhagen, DR reports. Officers had repeatedly ordered the protesters to leave, according to Copenhagen Police.

The police are currently present on Østerbro, where several demonstrations are taking place. It is unclear who blocked the street during the unauthorised demonstration.

Earlier, police said they were monitoring several authorised demonstrations in Copenhagen. Demonstrators from opposite ends of the political spectrum are taking part, including the Joint Initiative Against Racism and Discrimination and The Danish People.
