Two intersections in the capital region have been closed after their traffic lights stopped working, mbl.is reports.
The affected intersections are Breiðholtsbraut and Reykjanesbraut, and Nýbýlavegur and Dalvegur. The failure occurred this morning, and repairs are under way.
It is not yet clear how long the repairs will take. The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration said the closures would remain in place while the work continued.
Police in the capital region warned that traffic delays should be expected. Drivers are urged to follow traffic signs at the intersections and consider changing their plans if they intend to drive through the area this afternoon.
