Nordic countries have signed a joint declaration on supply security, with Faroese Minister for Foreign Affairs and Fisheries Bárður á Steig Nielsen saying the coronavirus pandemic showed why reliable supplies are necessary, according to KVF.
“The coronavirus period taught us that supply security is necessary,” Nielsen said.
Cooperation on supply security strengthens the ability to ensure access to basic goods and services when a crisis strikes, both in peacetime and wartime, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Fisheries.
The declaration was signed on Wednesday during the annual Nordic meeting on supply security, the Nordic Supplies Summit.
