Faroese Scout Aid has donated 100,000 kroner to emergency relief efforts in Colombia following a severe earthquake that struck the country recently, broadcaster KVF reports.
The money comes from the organisation’s fund for sudden emergencies. It has been given to Fundación Internacional Maranata, a relief organisation in Bogotá, which is working with Operation Mobilization, commonly known as OM, to determine where and how the funds can be used most effectively.
This is the second time this year that Faroese Scout Aid has released money from the emergency fund. In July, it donated 100,000 kroner to relief efforts following earthquakes in Venezuela.
