Tram services on Helsinki’s Crown Bridges will begin on November 7, the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority HSL said, according to Yle.

The new routes will run between Pasila and Kruunuvuorenranta, and between Rautatientori and Yliskylä.

“The project was completed ahead of schedule, allowing us to start tram services to Laajasalo before the end of this year,” Johanna Wallin, director of HSL’s Transport division, said in a statement.

HSL said the new tram connection would significantly change transport in Laajasalo.

Kruunuvuorensilta, one of the bridges in the project, opened to pedestrians and cyclists in April.
