Large iceberg spotted at mouth of Ísafjarðardjúp

mbl.is reports that a large, isolated iceberg was spotted at the mouth of Ísafjarðardjúp overnight.

The crew of a ship told the Icelandic Meteorological Office that the iceberg was clearly visible both on radar and to the naked eye at about 5 a.m.

Earlier in the night, at around 3 a.m., the office was also notified that an iceberg had been seen about 20 nautical miles north of Skagi.
